The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation continues its search for Xavior Harrelson.

Volunteers contributed to the case by funding money and posting flyers, KWWL reported.

“Iowa DCI agents still following leads in Xavior Harrelson case,” Joussine, a freelance journalist, wrote on Twitter.

Iowa DCI Assistant Director Mitch Mortvedt told KCRG that agents are working on the case daily.

“They have certainly slowed down, but I wouldn't say a lot,” Mortvedt said, according to KWWL. “The public is still very active and supportive of the investigation, and, you know, and doing everything that they can.”

Earlier in September two dozen law enforcement officials searched the Fox Forest County Recreation Area.

“We are just letting the information we receive point us in the direction we need to go in,” Mortvedt said, KWWL reported. “The hope is always to bring somebody that's missing home alive.”

Hundreds of people have been interviewed regarding the investigations, KCRG reported.

The 11-year-old Xavior went missing May 27 from a mobile home park.

The investigators keep in contact with Sarah Harrelson, Xavior’s mother regularly. Currently, there is a $34,000 reward for information in this case.

“We’re hoping that if we just keep chipping away at it, we’re going to have the piece of information come in that we need that’s going to help resolve this,” Mortvedt said, KCRG reported.

To leave a tip on Harrelson’s case, call Poweshiek County Sheriff's Office at 641-623-5679.
