On October 1, Nunn reiterated his criticism of Senate Democrats regarding government funding negotiations: “The Democrat Shutdown is now in effect because Senate Democrats refused to pass the House’s clean continuing resolution to keep the government open. As a result, over 15,000 Iowa servicemembers will miss paychecks, families relying on food assistance will face delays or lose”.
