Staff members from U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley’s office will be available in 17 Iowa counties next week to meet with residents who need help with federal agencies or wish to share their opinions. The traveling office hours will take place from November 24 to November 26, and are designed to ensure constituents can connect with the senator’s staff even when he is not present.

Senator Grassley emphasized the importance of communication between elected officials and the public. “You can’t have representative government without dialogue between elected officials and the people we represent. That’s why I’ve held meetings in all of Iowa’s 99 counties for 45 years,” Grassley said. “Because I’m not able to meet personally with each of Iowa’s over three million people, my staff holds traveling office hours to ensure Iowans’ voices are heard and their issues are addressed. I encourage any Iowan needing assistance with a federal agency to stop by and meet with my staff or contact one of my offices.”

Grassley will not attend these events personally. His Regional Directors—Rochelle Fuller, Jonathan Bladt, Jacob Bossman—and Deputy State Director Penny Vacek will represent him at the various locations.

The scheduled stops include city halls, libraries, courthouses, and other community venues across Harrison, Cedar, Johnson, Crawford, Clinton, Sac, Carroll, Scott, Iowa, Buena Vista, Muscatine, Montgomery, Delaware, Adams, Cass, Shelby, and Jackson counties.

Residents can visit during specific times at each location for support or to discuss concerns related to federal matters.
