Have a Plan to Vote on November 3
Every election is determined by the people who show up. Use these resources to make a plan to vote this November and let your voice be heard.
To be eligible to vote in Iowa, you must be:
- a U.S. citizen,
- an Iowa Resident, and
- 18 years old by election day, November 3.
All eligible voters in Iowa must first be registered to vote.
College students have the option to register to vote either:
- in your hometown or
- where you currently live.
Check to see if you're already registered to vote. - All you need is your first name, last name and zip code.
- If you're not yet registered, use these step-by-step instructions to register either online or download a form and return to your County Auditor.
- If you're registered and need to update your information, visit the Iowa Secretary of State's Voter Registration page.
