Iowa volleyball falls to Wisconsin.
The final score of the game was 3-0, with the win going to Wisconsin.
“They bounced back from a lot, coming back from three and four point deficits, which we have not been able to do this season," Iowa coach Dave Brown said, according to Hawkeye Sports. "And again — that's coming from the number four team in the country. I’m very proud of their effort.”
The scores for each set were 25-16, 25-23 and 25-20. Courtney Buzzerio led the Hawkeyes with 15 kills, Bailey Ortega had 27 assists and Mari Hinkle led all players in the match with 9 digs. Audrey Black hit .556 which was the best in the match, according to Hawkeye Sports.
In the first set, Iowa trailed by deficits of 8-4, 10-8, 15-9 and 19-10, according to Hawkeye Sports. In the second set there were five ties within the first ten points, and Wisconsin held 13-10, 17-12 and 18-16 leads at various points. Iowa jumped out to a 7-4 lead in the third set before Wisconsin took 15-11 and 19-17 leads.
Next, Iowa is set to host Minnesota on Nov. 11 with the first serve scheduled to occur at 6 p.m.
