The College of Business and Public Administration at Drake University announced that it has been awarded a four-year $1 million grant from the David J. Noble Foundation to ensure that the Noble Center at the business school continues to be a state-of-the art learning space and to provide new resources that will open more doors to opportunity for deserving students.
The two bedroom, one bathroom home at 812 E. 25th St., Des Moines was sold on Feb. 4 by Gregorio Arizaga Berber for $160,000. The buyers were Xochitl Bautista Olivera and Victor Manuel Gonzalez Rodriguez.
The four bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home at 344 51st St., Des Moines was sold on Feb. 3 by Hip Investments LLC for $699,900. The buyers were Kyle D. and Shelley Milton Vrchota.
A final 0.5 percent rise in December capped off a 12-month period where consumer prices rose 7% before seasonal adjustment. It’s the largest single-year increase since 1982, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
