Des Moines home prices rise in the first half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in Des Moines rose by $6,000 while total sales decreased by 9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were 2,079 homes sold, with a median sale price of $134,000 - a 4.7% increase over the $128,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 2,285 homes sold in Des Moines in the first half of 2018.
