Des Moines home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Des Moines rose by $6,400 while total sales increased by 9.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 5,171 homes sold, with a median sale price of $125,900 - a 5.4% increase over the $119,500 median sale price for the previous year. There were 4,740 homes sold in Des Moines in 2016.
