July 2021: Home prices in Des Moines increased

The median sale price of a home sold in July 2021 in Des Moines rose by $21,500 while total sales increased by 7.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In July 2021, there were 497 homes sold, with a median sale price of $175,000 - a 14% increase over the $153,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 462 homes sold in Des Moines in July 2020.

The median sales tax in Des Moines for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,488, approximately 1.4% of the median home sale price for July 2021.
