Iowa State did not have a good day against Baylor on Sept. 25, coming up short in multiple areas of a 31-29 loss that knocked the Cyclones out of the national ranking.
Iowa State takes a 2-2 record overall and a 0-1 mark in the Big 12 in action Saturday night when the Cyclones face Kansas (1-3, 0-1) in Ames. Iowa must play better than it did against Baylor when it struggled in all three phases of the games.
The defense allowed touchdowns on Baylor’s first three drives, the offense scored only three points in the second half, and Baylor’s Trestan Ebner returned a kick-off 98-yards for a touchdown in the third quarter.
Iowa State entered the season with high expectations and went into Saturday’s game ranked No. 14. But now have to regroup from a tough start.
