Penn State Nittany Lions lost to Iowa State in the Saturday, Nov. 27 match.

During the match in Florida, Penn State couldn't keep up with Iowa State's women's basketball team and lost the match in the second round of the Gulf Coast Showcase.

"A little unnoticed in the craziness of College Football today. Iowa State's women's basketball team smashed Penn State to advance to the Gulf Coast Showcase Championship Game where they'll play 7-0 UMASS. Cyclones have scored at least 93 points in 3 of their last 4," Twitter user DBrags said a tweet.

The final score of the match was 93-59, which launched the Iowa State Cyclones to 6-0 in the season.

After the match, Penn State dropped to 4-2 in the 2021 season.

Iowa State started leading early in the game, and they made multiple 3-pointers in a row, the Daily Collegian. By halftime, Penn State had been losing by 17 points. In fact, in the third quarter, Penn State did not score any points for a stretch of seven minutes. The final quarter was not anything different from the previous ones. On almost every possession, Iowa State managed to knock down 3-point shots, and Penn State wasn't able to do anything about it. The only Nittany Lions to reach double figures were Makenna Marisa and Ali Brigham.
