Congressman Zach Nunn has recently shared updates on legislative efforts, community engagement opportunities, and constituent services through a series of posts on social media. His communications focus on the outcomes of policy initiatives, upcoming events for students interested in military service academies, and the work his office has done to assist Iowans with federal agencies.

On July 11, 2025, Congressman Nunn referenced Speaker Johnson’s remarks by stating “.@SpeakerJohnson said it best: ‘It takes a lot longer to build a lie than to tell the truth.’ Our reconciliation package delivers: $1,500 tax cut for Iowans Farm safety net update Border + national security investments Stronger Medicaid & SNAP”. This post highlights key elements included in the reconciliation package being advanced in Congress.

On July 12, 2025, Nunn invited constituents to an informational event about U.S. Service Academies. He wrote “Interested in attending a U.S. Service Academy? Join us Tuesday, July 15, in Johnston to meet with academy reps, get information on how to apply, and ask your questions face-to-face.” The event aims to connect prospective applicants with representatives from various academies.

In another update posted on July 14, 2025, Congressman Nunn reported on casework completed by his office so far this year. He stated “So far this year, our team has closed more than 600 cases, helping Iowans across our communities cut through red tape and recover more than $4 million from the federal government. Whether it’s the VA, IRS, Social Security, or passport delays, we’re here to help.” According to Nunn's office staffers are focused on assisting residents with issues related to several federal agencies including Veterans Affairs (VA), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Social Security Administration (SSA), and passport processing.
