Congressman Zach Nunn, who represents Iowa’s 3rd congressional district, recently highlighted several legislative and community initiatives through a series of posts on his social media account.

On August 3, 2025, Nunn expressed support for legislation aimed at protecting local agriculture from external regulations. He stated, "We’re backing the Save Our Bacon Act to protect Iowa farmers from out-of-state mandates that raise prices for consumers and dictate how Iowans can handle their livestock."

Addressing public health concerns the following day, Nunn announced a bipartisan effort to address lead contamination in drinking water. On August 4, 2025, he posted, "No family should be stuck drinking lead-contaminated water. Our bipartisan bill cuts out red tape and turns existing federal funds into grants or forgivable loans, so disadvantaged communities can replace lead pipes without taking on debt." This initiative reflects ongoing efforts in Congress to improve water infrastructure and ensure safe drinking water for all communities.

Also on August 4, Nunn encouraged participation in an annual state event. He wrote, "The great Iowa State Fair kicks off Thursday—and I’ll say it again: every American should experience it at least once. Come find Team Nunn! We’ll flip a pork chop, grab a fried corn dog, and catch some great live music. See you at the fair!" The Iowa State Fair is a longstanding tradition in the state that draws attendees from across the country.
