Congressman Zach Nunn, who represents Iowa's 3rd congressional district, recently addressed several key issues in a series of posts on his official Twitter account.

On August 4, 2025, Nunn recognized the anniversary of the United States Coast Guard, stating: "Happy 235th birthday to the @USCG! From protecting our waterways to saving lives at sea, we are grateful for your service today—and always. #SemperParatus https://t.co/TZhvunp4aP"

The following day, August 5, he highlighted concerns about financial scams affecting Iowans. In his post he wrote: "Criminals are using AI and fake identities to trick Iowans out of their money. Our bipartisan TRAPS Act will coordinate a national response to stop scams and hold bad actors accountable. It's time to protect families and retirees. https://t.co/jarQVUpcoK" The TRAPS Act is designed as a bipartisan effort aimed at strengthening federal coordination against fraudulent schemes that utilize artificial intelligence and identity theft.

Later on August 5, Nunn discussed the economic impact of Tyson’s plant closure in Perry, Iowa. He stated: "Tyson’s plant closure hit Perry hard. From day one, we pushed to hold the company accountable and deliver real support for families, students, and local services. After months of advocacy, here’s what we secured for the Perry community. https://t.co/opCZddEIHy" The closure affected many local workers and had broader implications for the community's economy.

Nunn has served as a U.S. Representative since January 2023 after winning election in November 2022.
