Congressman Zach Nunn, who represents Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District, recently shared several updates from the Iowa State Fair through his official Twitter account. His posts highlighted interactions with local residents and addressed issues affecting families and small businesses in the state.

On August 15, 2025, Nunn described his experience at the fair, writing: "Only at the State Fair can you step into a barn, see a cow made of butter, and meet Iowa Royalty all in one stop. Great to hear from this year's Dairy Princesses about their bright futures and the strength of our dairy industry."

The following day, on August 16, he met with an Iowa family to discuss federal support for parents. He posted: "At the State Fair, I met the Curry family and heard how the $2,200 Child Tax Credit will help with everyday expenses and back-to-school costs. That is real relief for Iowa parents, and I’m proud we delivered it." The Child Tax Credit has been a subject of national debate regarding its impact on working families and its role in reducing child poverty.

Later that same day, Nunn addressed challenges faced by rural entrepreneurs in Iowa. He stated: "Small businesses build our communities, create jobs, and drive Iowa’s economy. But right now, rural entrepreneurs are being left behind. I’m fighting to ensure every small business has the tools to grow and thrive right here at home." Rural economic development remains a significant concern in many parts of Iowa where access to resources can be limited compared to urban areas.

Nunn's comments come as policymakers continue efforts to strengthen support for agriculture and small businesses across rural America.
