Congressman Zach Nunn (IA-03) has launched a new testimonial ad series that features Iowans discussing the effects of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act on their lives. The first advertisement highlights Sarah Curry from Glenwood, Iowa, whose family has experienced tax relief benefits.

“When the Curry family received their tax cut back in 2017, they invested it in their family and community,” said Rep. Nunn. “For them, it meant a new water heater on the family farm and vital speech therapy for their son, Isaac, who has autism. That’s what real investment looks like — supporting an Iowa family while strengthening Main Street businesses right here in our communities.”

Sarah Curry, who previously testified before the House Ways & Means Committee in 2024, shared her perspective on how tax cuts have helped her family:

“The last time Congress enacted tax cuts, it made a really big difference for our family. Our kids have needs that we have to meet, and every dollar we can save on our taxes means another dollar we can invest in our family to help our children,” said Sarah Curry. “I want to thank Congressman Nunn for always prioritizing families and for helping pass the child tax credit. This type of common sense reform helps all types of families, mine and others across America.”

The digital ad campaign will include testimonials from various Iowans such as parents, waitresses, barbers, law enforcement officers, farmers, and small business owners. These stories are intended to highlight specific measures included in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act: extending provisions from the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act; expanding the $2,200 Child Tax Credit; eliminating federal taxes on tips and overtime pay; providing tax relief for small businesses; and investing in farmers and rural communities.

Rep. Nunn first met Sarah Curry during a House Ways & Means Committee field hearing at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines in 2024. The Curry family later reconnected with him at the 2025 Iowa State Fair to discuss how enhancements to the Child Tax Credit have helped them support their children’s needs.

The series will continue with additional testimonials aiming to illustrate how policies within the One Big Beautiful Bill Act are affecting Iowans.
