In his final post of the day, Nunn turned attention to Iowa agriculture: "Visited ADM’s soybean processing facility in Des Moines today to see how Iowa's producers are feeding the world. During this time of uncertainty, it's important that we push for reduced trade barriers and open markets for the best produce in the world." (posted October 6, 2025). Agriculture is a significant part of Iowa’s economy; international trade policies can directly impact local producers' ability to access global markets.

Nunn’s remarks reflect ongoing concerns over veterans’ recognition, federal worker compensation during government shutdowns—when agencies such as TSA and FAA must continue operations—and support for agricultural exports amidst fluctuating trade policies.
