In his post, he stated, "Continuing the day in Perry, I joined JBS and local leaders to break ground on a new facility that will create 500 good-paying jobs, support local families, and bring new opportunities to the community. It’s a major win — and a sign that Perry’s comeback is already underway."

The following day, on October 15, 2025, Nunn addressed the ongoing federal government shutdown, criticizing Democratic lawmakers. He wrote, "Democrats are treating our troops like political pawns. That’s unacceptable. It’s time to end the Democrat Shutdown and pass @HouseGOP’s clean CR."

Later on October 15, Nunn posted another message referencing statements from Democratic leaders during previous shutdowns. He shared: "Democrats in their own words on shutdowns: 'We don’t govern by temper tantrum… we’d be hurting millions of Americans' — Chuck Schumer, 2018 'This is irresponsible. No, this is reckless.' — Nancy Pelosi, 2013 'It is not normal to hold 800,000 workers’ paychecks"
