Congressman Zach Nunn has recently used his social media platform to address the ongoing effects of the federal government shutdown on Iowa communities. In a series of posts on November 5, 2025, Nunn described meetings with law enforcement officials and local leaders, highlighting concerns over disrupted services and delayed projects.

On November 5, 2025, Nunn wrote: "I joined Dallas County Sheriff Adam Infante and his team for an update on the challenges law enforcement is facing, from a sharp rise in scam activity to pressure from the shutdown on already stretched resources. We're pushing to reopen the government and move forward bipartisan".

Later that day, he posted about infrastructure projects: "The Principal Riverwalk is the perfect example of what we can accomplish when local, state, and federal partners work together to build for the future.
