In a series of posts on November 5, 2025, Nunn described meetings with law enforcement officials and local leaders, highlighting concerns over disrupted services and delayed projects.
On November 5, 2025, Nunn wrote: "I joined Dallas County Sheriff Adam Infante and his team for an update on the challenges law enforcement is facing, from a sharp rise in scam activity to pressure from the shutdown on already stretched resources. We're pushing to reopen the government and move forward bipartisan".
Later that day, he posted about infrastructure projects: "The Principal Riverwalk is the perfect example of what we can accomplish when local, state, and federal partners work together to build for the future. But right now, the government shutdown is stalling critical projects across the state. Iowa shouldn't lose out because of".
In another post on November 5, Nunn detailed discussions with various community stakeholders: "I met with mayors, business owners, and local leaders to talk about how the government shutdown is impacting Iowa communities. From delayed infrastructure to disrupted services, the consequences are real for families and local economies. We shared some of the legislation we’re".
