City of Johnston recently issued the following announcement.
Free Tree Branch and Tire Disposal
Friday, June 5, 2020
Johnston residents can drop off branches, limbs and passenger vehicle tires at the Public Works Facility, located at 6400 NW Beaver Drive, at no cost on June 4 through 6. Please bring your ID for proof of residency. Due to social distancing guidelines, we would ask that you remain in your vehicle. The Parks and Public Works crews will be available to assist.
Branches cannot be larger than 18-inches in diameter. Tree debris will be turned into mulch. Tires must be off the rim; limit 4 tires per household. Tires from businesses will not be accepted.
Drop-off hours: • Friday, June 5 - 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Saturday, June 6 - 8 a.m. to noon
