The University of Iowa Hawkeyes recently won 30-7 against Kent State in football and moved on to 3-0 for the season.
This win marked the 300th victory for the Hawkeyes in Kinnick Stadium and is the team’s ninth victory in a row dating back to the 2020 campaign, according to Hawkeye Sports.
"Game Story: Hawkeyes Wear Down Kent State," Hawkeye Football wrote in a Sept. 20 Twitter post.
Junior Tyler Goodson had a career best game, running for 153 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Hawkeyes to victory.
"We had a pretty good day in the run game," Goodson said, according to Hawkeye Sports. "Kent State had a good defense, but the guys up front did a good job with their assignments and that the running backs had a split second to get upfield. From there it was the running back’s job to take it to the house."
"We have a good offense and we have guys that can make plays," Goodson added. "From this day we have to take the momentum and get better and better throughout the season."
