Des Moines Residents have one more chance to pick up free tiny tees

Demoines

A steady stream of cars filled the lot at Polk County River Place on Saturday as the City of Des Moines Public Works Department gave away thousands of free tiny trees to Des Moines residents.

Despite all the traffic, there are leftover trees so the Forestry division is providing one more opportunity for Des Moines residents to take home some free Tiny Trees.

No specific tree species will be guaranteed and the leftover trees will be given away on a first-come, first-serve basis from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 21 at Des Moines City Hall (400 Robert D. Ray Drive).
