DES MOINES, IOWA – Wednesday, March 15, 2023 – A little bit of March Madness is coming this week to a downtown Des Moines bridge. The Des Moines Parks and Recreation Department will light the Iowa Women of Achievement blue this week as Drake University and Des Moines host the NCAA Tournament.
Tonight (Wed.), the lights will be Drake blue as the teams conduct practices at Wells Fargo Arena. Thursday and Saturday, the lights will be Drake blue for the tournament games played at the Des Moines site.
On Friday (3/17), the bridge will be set to green for St. Patrick’s Day.
