Nunn, who succeeded Cindy Axne in 2023, has been active in politics since his tenure in the Iowa House of Representatives and Senate.

On November 25, 2024, Nunn highlighted his commitment to adoption during Adoption Awareness Month. He tweeted about the personal joy adoption has brought to his family: "Adopting two of our youngest daughters, Aliyah and Jayna, has filled our family with love and joy. This Adoption Awareness Month, I’m committed to making the process simpler for families and children waiting for their forever home."

The following day, on November 26, 2024, he engaged constituents by inviting them to share their priorities via a confidential survey: "What are your top priorities? Please take our confidential survey so I can effectively serve you in the next Congress!"

Later that day, Congressman Nunn addressed economic concerns affecting families during Thanksgiving. He expressed concern over rising costs impacting Iowans' ability to afford traditional holiday meals: "Thanksgiving is about gratitude, but rising costs make it harder for many Iowa families to put food on the table this year. Just look at the price for some of the staples! Let me know if you’re worried about these prices now "
