Congressman Zach Nunn, representing Iowa’s 3rd district, has made several recent announcements via social media. Serving in the U.S. Congress since 2023, Nunn continues to engage with legislative efforts impacting both national and international concerns.

On December 13, 2024, Congressman Nunn emphasized the strategic alliance between the United States and Israel. He noted that his amendment aimed at enhancing American innovation and strengthening defense partnerships with Israel was incorporated into this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). He stated, "Israel is our strongest ally in the Middle East. My amendment to bolster American innovation and deepen strategic defense partnerships as Israel defends herself was included in this year’s NDAA. I will always stand with Israel!"

Later on the same day, he highlighted progress on domestic security issues by reporting on a significant legislative development concerning border security and drug trafficking. At 20:00 UTC, he announced that a strong NDAA had been passed to address these challenges: "We passed a strong NDAA this week to secure our Southern Border immediately and combat the threat of fentanyl flowing into our communities."

In addition to his focus on defense and security matters, Congressman Nunn also addressed childcare access in a tweet posted at 21:25 UTC. Drawing from personal experience as a father of six children, he expressed support for expanding childcare options through bipartisan legislation. His message read: "As a dad of six kids, I know firsthand how critical reliable childcare is for families. That’s why I cosponsored a bipartisan bill to expand childcare access by creating grants to train new professionals and build new daycare centers."
