Zach Nunn, a U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 3rd district since 2023, recently shared several updates on his legislative efforts and personal engagements via social media. Nunn, who succeeded Cindy Axne in Congress and has previously served in both the Iowa House of Representatives and Senate, continues to focus on issues affecting his constituents.
On March 23, 2025, Nunn highlighted his commitment to supporting seniors in rural Iowa through the bipartisan Delivering for Rural Seniors Act. According to his post, "My bipartisan Delivering for Rural Seniors Act would ensure that Iowa’s seniors have access to the resources and care they’ve earned after a lifetime of hard work. This bill would cut through red tape and deliver nutritious food to seniors in rural Iowa."
The following day, March 24, 2025, Nunn expressed concern over tax burdens faced by families maintaining their farms. In collaboration with fellow legislator Randy Feenstra, he aims to abolish the Death Tax. As stated in his tweet, "No Iowa family should lose the farm just to pay a tax bill. I’m working with @RandyFeenstra to end the Death Tax once and for all so the next generation of Iowans can inherit the legacy of their family."
Later that same day, Nunn shared a more personal moment from his visit to a local school where he joined students for lunch. He remarked on this experience by noting how quickly children grow up: "These girls are growing up way too fast. I loved joining them at their school lunch today!"
