Congressman Zach Nunn, representing Iowa's 3rd district since 2023, has been actively addressing various legislative issues through his recent social media posts. Nunn, who succeeded Cindy Axne and previously served in the Iowa House of Representatives and Senate, shared updates on bills related to healthcare, agriculture, and fitness.

On May 18, 2025, Congressman Nunn announced a new bill aimed at improving maternal care. He stated: "Every expecting mom deserves quality care. My new bill helps states lower pregnancy costs and build comprehensive support systems for moms on Medicaid." This initiative seeks to enhance support for mothers enrolled in Medicaid by reducing associated costs.

Later that day, Nunn addressed agricultural concerns with a focus on supporting vulnerable populations and farmers. He noted: "Bottom line on this week’s ag bill: we’re protecting SNAP for vulnerable Iowans and delivering over $60B for biosecurity, crop insurance, and fairer reference prices—real support for our farmers and rural communities." The legislation aims to bolster food security programs while providing substantial financial backing for agricultural sectors.

In another post from May 18th, Nunn highlighted his endorsement of the PHIT Act during National Physical Fitness & Sports Month. He expressed: "May is National Physical Fitness & Sports Month, and I'm backing @MikeKellyPA's bipartisan PHIT Act to make gym memberships, youth sports, and fitness gear tax deductible for every Iowa family." This act intends to make physical fitness more accessible by offering tax deductions on related expenses.

Zach Nunn was born in Story City, Iowa in 1979 and currently resides in Bondurant. He graduated from Drake University with a BA in 2002.
