Congressman Zach Nunn, representing Iowa’s 3rd district, has been actively sharing updates on social media regarding his legislative initiatives and personal milestones. Since taking office in 2023, Nunn has focused on issues affecting veterans, education, and cybersecurity.
On June 2, 2025, Congressman Nunn highlighted his commitment to improving mental health care for veterans. "As a combat veteran, I’ve seen firsthand the toll PTSD takes on our servicemembers and their families. I’m leading bipartisan legislation to improve mental health care for our heroes because no veteran should have to struggle on their own." This initiative reflects his dedication to supporting those who have served in the military.
Later that day, he shared a personal moment from his family life. "Graduation weekend at the Nunn house! Kelly and I are incredibly proud of our daughter, Addisyn, who will be heading to college in the fall, and all of our kiddos for everything they've achieved this school year." This tweet showcases his pride in his family's accomplishments.
On June 3, 2025, Congressman Nunn addressed concerns about cybercrime affecting seniors. "According to the FBI, financial losses from cybercrime grew by more than 33% last year alone. Too often, it’s our seniors who pay the price. I’m working to crack down on online scams that target older Iowans and give law enforcement the tools to protect Iowans online." His efforts aim to enhance protections against online fraud targeting vulnerable populations.
Zach Nunn was born in Story City, Iowa in 1979 and currently resides in Bondurant. He graduated from Drake University with a BA in 2002. Before serving in Congress since 2023 after replacing Cindy Axne, he was part of the Iowa House of Representatives from 2015 to 2019 and served in the Iowa Senate until 2023.
