Later that day, Nunn commented on a recent FBI operation that prevented an act of agroterrorism which could have impacted crop yields in Iowa and the broader U.S. food supply. He emphasized efforts to equip the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) with new tools to combat such threats: "Last week, the FBI prevented a potential act of agroterrorism..."
In a subsequent tweet on June 9, Nunn announced an upcoming feature on KCCI News regarding new legislation aimed at stopping Chinese Communist Party-backed agroterrorism.
