Congressman Zach Nunn has recently taken to social media to highlight several legislative efforts addressing both local and international concerns.
On July 28, 2025, Nunn criticized California’s agricultural regulations in a post stating, "California's Prop 12 is hurting Iowa pork producers. It's raising costs, shrinking food choices for consumers, and threatening family farms. We're leading on the Save Our Bacon Act to stop out-of-touch mandates from dictating how Iowans farm."
The following day, Nunn addressed insurance regulation with a statement posted on July 29, 2025: "When the CFPB oversteps into insurance, Iowans pay the price. Glad to join @RepBryanSteil on the Business of Insurance Regulatory Reform Act to stop D.C. overreach and protect our state-based system that keeps insurance markets competitive and fair." The CFPB is the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a federal agency created in response to the financial crisis of 2008.
Later that same day, Nunn commented on international affairs related to Russia’s ongoing war: "Putin's war is being propped up by foreign banks and illicit oil profits. As President Trump increases pressure on the Kremlin to come to the table, our bipartisan PEACE Act will give him new tools to cut off the cash and sanction the enablers." U.S.-imposed sanctions have been a central component of efforts aimed at restricting Russia’s access to global finance since its invasion of Ukraine.
Nunn represents Iowa in Congress and frequently uses his platform to discuss legislation affecting both his constituents and broader U.S. policy issues.
