Congressman Zach Nunn, who represents Iowa's 3rd congressional district, recently highlighted several issues affecting Iowans through a series of posts on his social media account.
On August 24, 2025, Nunn addressed tax policy changes impacting service workers. He wrote, "No Tax On Tips is a game-changer for the more than 150,000 Iowans and 17 million Americans who work in the service and hospitality industries. Learn more about how commonsense tax relief is already making a difference in our communities. https://t.co/bHcEleoMUn".
The following day, August 25, Nunn turned attention to healthcare workforce shortages in Iowa. He stated, "Clive Behavioral Health is a lifeline for families across Des Moines, offering 24/7 care when it’s needed most. But like many Iowa providers, they’re facing a critical nursing shortage. This morning, we stood with Iowa providers to introduce the Train More Nurses Act, bipartisan https://t.co/kOVHGPcXGQ".
On August 26, Nunn commemorated the anniversary of the end of America's longest war and honored those lost during the withdrawal from Afghanistan. He posted, "Four years ago today, America’s longest war ended with tragedy. 13 U.S. servicemembers, including Red Oak's own Corporal Daegan Page, were killed as they worked to evacuate U.S. personnel and allies. We honor their sacrifice and stand with the families they left behind. https://t.co/2Xcn0x6MCq".
Nunn has previously focused on economic relief for service industry workers and healthcare workforce challenges in Iowa's third district.
