Iowa Association of Business and Industry recently issued the following announcement.
ABI members who are interested in providing input on the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT)’s State Transportation Plan and State Freight Plan can review it here. Freight transportation is a critical element of the supply chain. The freight plan is important for identifying the different challenges facing each mode of freight transportation. The Iowa DOT uses this process to improve freight transportation. This public comment period is an opportunity for ABI members to work with other industry leaders to identify possible solutions to improve infrastructure and supply chain efficiency.
The proposed State Transportation Plan can be found here. The chapters cover different demographic and economic trends, as well as the vision that is ahead for Iowa’s transportation system.
The public comment period ends April 7, 2022. You can email Iowa.Motion@iowadot.us, call the Iowa DOT’s Systems Planning Bureau at 515-239-1520 or send your comments by mail to Iowa DOT, Systems Planning Bureau, 800 Lincoln Way, Ames, Iowa 50010.
