As highlighted in last week’s ABI newsletter, Gov. Reynolds recently announced the state will be rolling out a $25 million Business Incentive Grant Program to target child care. Child care has been identified as one of the key challenges facing the workforce. The grant aims to create new child care opportunities, such as expanding capacity and bolstering arrangement between child care facilities and employers.
ABI members who are interested can attend an upcoming webinar hosted by Future Ready Iowa and other representatives from the Iowa Workforce Development and the Iowa Department of Human Services. The webinar scheduled for June 22, 2022 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. will provide application guidance to employers.
